I'm Jake, a 29-year-old Midwesterner who traded in my wheat fields for palm trees and my BBQ grill for a surfboard. Hailing from the great plains of Kansas, my childhood dreams didn't involve coconuts or hula skirts, but life had other plans. One day, I decided that tornado drills were just not cutting it anymore, so I packed up my cowboy boots, told Dorothy I was taking a detour, and landed on the shores of stunning Kauai.
